Hotel Jakuszyce Sport & Spa

The staff were very helpful and courteous throughout our 8-day stay. We also enjoyed the occasional extra, like free sausages at a bonfire. There were only a few things to nitpick: the walls are thin, so noisy neighbours could be a nuisance, the car park fills up quickly, and bathroom supplies like soap and shampoo were sparse and not replenished during cleaning. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the gym was exceptionally well equipped and maintained, better than any hotel gym I've seen. Dinner and breakfast had a great selection, with excellent quality and taste. Overall, it was a very nice long stay.

We were on our way back to Poznań and stopped for breakfast, arriving an hour after it had ended. They let us in without complaint and served the full selection, in fact giving us more food than we could finish, all at the standard price. The staff were really nice.

The food keeps bringing me back to this restaurant. The menu is short, fresh, thoughtfully put together, and everything I’ve had has been prepared perfectly. I’ve never been let down by a meal. But the hotel staff make the visit hard to enjoy. They seem to treat customers rudely and then want them gone. There’s no tact or courtesy, and I still can’t make sense of how such excellent food and so much arrogance coexist in one place.

The spa is small but comfortable, the food is really good, and some of the staff, especially the waitresses and spa team, were very helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. But our room wasn’t cleaned during our three-night stay: the bins were still full and the towels hadn’t been changed. The receptionist was rude and hostile, and said we should have asked for cleaning. We only got shower gel on the first night, which surprised us the next evening. Since the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, getting anything after 6 pm was difficult. There was also no hot water for an hour on our last night. I’d only recommend staying if the receptionist on the 01/05 day shift is trained in customer service or replaced.
