Breakfast was really good, with lots to choose from. We tried the buffet dinner too, but the selection was smaller, so we ended up going to restaurants in town. Our room had a sauna, though it barely warmed up and was mostly useless, so I wouldn’t spend extra for it. The WiFi was patchy and often wouldn’t connect. I’d say the stay was okay, but not great.

We booked and paid online through Booking, but at checkout the staff still asked us to pay because they weren’t sure if the stay had been paid. They apologized three times about the room, yet the whole experience felt strange, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. We’d called before booking for our cycling training trip to check for a room. They had one, but quoted a price 20% above what we saw in the area. When we arrived around 11 PM, reception didn’t know about our stay. Nobody explained what the price included or how to find the room. Room B12, I think, was dirty and hadn’t been properly cleaned. When we reported it, the man at reception said he didn’t know what to do. We went out to eat despite having paid for the whole stay in advance. About 40 minutes later, staff were still cleaning the room. We had booked separate beds for two people, but found one double bed and a sofa instead. Breakfast was poor overall. The sausages and bread were good, but some of the food wasn’t fresh. The pancakes were old, and the fruit and vegetables smelled stale. The cakes tasted like plastic from a cheap bakery. The hotel looks nice, with a terrace jacuzzi and a sauna in the room, but it wasn’t clear if we could use them. There were said to be other attractions, but no one told us where they were or when they were open. We visited in September while the weather was still good. If quality drops outside peak season, prices should be more competitive.

The hotel is new, clean and nicely located, with plenty for children to do. But we won’t be back. We couldn’t use the breakfast terrace, even though the weather was lovely, because it was locked. When we mentioned it at reception, nobody responded. The staff’s attitude was disappointing, and they speak English poorly. Parking costs extra too. Breakfast was fine but unremarkable. Dinner came as a set menu rather than a buffet, and the food was average, with disappointing desserts.

The location worked really well for us. The hotel is right by the hiking routes to the Giant Mountains, and restaurants, shops, the city center and the cable car are all a short walk away. It’s still quiet since it’s outside the busiest part of town. Our room was spotless and thoughtfully laid out, with a well-equipped kitchenette and modern bathroom. The bathroom sauna was easy to switch on and heated up in minutes. Staff were friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious, with lots of sweet and savory options, quality ingredients, and different things each day, including granola and lactose-free milk. The hotel also has a pleasant outdoor uncovered jacuzzi, a nicely arranged salt cave, and several places to relax or have fun. Thank you!
