Kadyny Folwark Hotel & Spa

Surrounded by woods and beautiful scenery, it's close to the beach and has everything you need. There is an indoor heated pool, plus an outdoor one in summer, horse riding, a small zoo, and more. It's a wonderful place for a nature break, and I'd definitely recommend it for families with kids or women looking for a relaxing spa stay with facial treatments. We absolutely love it here. Having a wedding here would be a dream!

The rooms were basic but clean, and the countryside setting looked idyllic at first. But if you come hoping to rest, forget it. The hotel held loud corporate parties with music blaring until 1am or later, then the guests came back to their rooms making a racket. It was unbelievable how little regard there was for other paying guests, many of them with small children. After three days of constant parties, our whole family was exhausted, and I barely slept. Restaurant staff took ages to serve us and never smiled, though a few women were very helpful. The room design was frustrating, too. In my first room, the bed blocked the socket, so the night lamp cable couldn't reach properly and I had to get out of bed to switch it off. There was nowhere by the bed to charge a phone. The second room was a bit quieter, but a mini fridge for fruit or water and a kettle for tea or coffee would have been useful. At the spa, I could hear staff loudly discussing a socket repair next door throughout my treatment. The treatment rooms had no proper sound insulation, which you'd expect even in a mid-range hotel spa. It's a shame, because the hotel has real potential, but it feels amateurishly designed. I've spent my career designing hotels around the world, so this was especially frustrating.

We waited more than an hour for the food, then asked how it was going and were told, “sorry you have to wait normally around 1h30 to get served”. The restaurant wasn't even full. Is that the standard? Service is really slow. I don't recommend it.

There’s a little garden with a few horses and somewhere to sit. The beds were comfortable and the food tasted good, and I’d recommend the Easter stay if you’re not hoping for much choice of cakes at breakfast. My one real letdown was the shower: after a long day walking, the water was only lukewarm, so I took off a star.
