Getting my security deposit back turned into a very disappointing end to my stay. I left the room in excellent condition and had paid rent regularly, but the entire deposit, described as refundable, was kept for extra utility and operational charges that hadn’t been clearly explained in advance. It became very difficult to get information about the deductions. More than 2.5 months later, I still had no proper resolution or official invoices to support them. The accommodation itself was decent. Future students should make sure they understand the cost policies, including any hidden charges, before signing.

The administrative team made a real difference when I moved abroad as an international student. From the first day, I felt welcome and looked after, and the staff were always friendly, easy to approach, and willing to go out of their way to help. That support helped me settle in and feel part of a community. I lived at Akademikus for a year, and it was a wonderful experience. The apartment was comfortable, well maintained, and suited to student life. It felt like a home away from home, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend Akademikus to students looking for a safe, supportive, enjoyable place to live.
