Apartament Torun

I had booked and paid for this apartment well in advance. The day before arrival, I checked Google’s forecast and saw a serious warning: orange alert, possible hail, up to 90mm of rain, and risks of flooding and evacuation. The Polish weather service also said driving conditions would be dangerous. I was traveling with children, so I couldn’t reasonably take that risk. It was a real blow because Toruń was the first stop on a trip I’d planned around Poland. I had to book a hotel somewhere else to avoid the storm. I asked the owner for a refund given the unusual circumstances, but she wouldn’t acknowledge the warning. She said there would be plenty to do on a rainy day. I tried to explain that this wasn’t ordinary rain, but she kept acting as if there was no warning for Torun, despite what the Polish National weather service said. I never got my money back. I can’t say whether the apartment is worth the price. If you want peace of mind when something goes wrong, I’d avoid it. The owner seemed greedy and very unfair.
