Hotel Rejs

I had a wonderful time at Hotel Rejs, a 10/10 experience that I highly recommend. The tucked away side street is a perfect location, and parking was free and easy. Breakfast was tasty and had everything I wanted. The food overall was excellent, and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English.

The food is why I’m giving this place 2 stars rather than 1. It deserves 5 stars, and we were kindly given starters and a dessert, cotton candy, on the house. The woman at reception was friendly too, also worth 5 stars. But we’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and it’s usually been nice. On our last 2 stays, the same waitress was very unfriendly. She didn’t smile, and nearly threw the plates down in front of us. The restaurant was almost empty, yet she didn’t ask if we wanted more drinks, check if the food was okay, or offer to bring anything. We had to ask for the drinks menu at the start and sat there without drinks. When the previous diners had finished, their dirty plates stayed in front of them for quite a while. It felt like we were bothering her. We saw her smiling with some colleagues and her boss, but she was rude to us. I don’t like writing this kind of review, but since it happened twice, I wanted to give feedback. We’d hoped for a nice evening, but the restaurant service made us feel bad and we couldn’t enjoy our stay. The music also wasn’t the best choice.

We loved our stay. Even though we arrived late, we were welcomed warmly and given support. The room was super comfortable, and the location was peaceful, within walking distance of the Eastern Beach and port. The buffet was delicious and had lots of variety. Highly recommended!

A small, lovely and intimate hotel with friendly, very good service. The rooms were clean, and it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the seaside. I used the sauna every evening and loved having it reserved just for me. Thank you! Breakfast was really good, with a wide selection of honey, jams, cheese, sausages, bread, fruit and more. I especially loved being able to order scrambled eggs or omelettes. So yummy 😋 Do make a point of trying the restaurant. It was an amazing experience and the food was so tasty.
