It’s a good location, around a 15-minute walk to the old town, and the tram line at the end of the street is handy. The room was spacious, with a seating area and plenty of storage for our three-night stay. The trams made some noise, but it stopped and didn’t go on all night. Breakfast wasn’t really to my taste since I’m not keen on European-style cold meats, cheese and salad in the morning. There were eggs and bread, though, and as much tea and coffee as you wanted. They’d run out of regular tea bags, so I ended up buying my own and taking them to breakfast.

We stayed two nights and walked pretty much everywhere from this conveniently located hotel. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the decor was very, very plain. Breakfast was fresh and good, with enough to choose from even if the selection wasn’t huge, plus good coffee. The tram noise bothered me, but it’s hard to avoid when you want to stay closer to the center.

There’s a lot of space in the room, and the fridge was useful. They provided still and sparkling water and replaced it, which I appreciated in the hot weather. Basic toiletries, including shower gel, shampoo and a vanity kit, were also provided and replenished. The Wi-Fi was a little slow but generally fine. The hotel is around 10-15 minutes from the main square, with shops, restaurants and bars under the railway bridge nearby. Breakfast was included and seemed okay to me, and the woman managing the room was friendly. It was quiet from the neighbors, but I could hear the trams from my first-floor room at the front. You can’t really keep the windows open because of that, though the air conditioning is good. The tram noise didn’t bother me much, but it might affect light sleepers. The pillows were very lumpy, as if washing had ruined them. There was nowhere to put toiletries in the shower except the floor, the shower head fixture was coming away from the wall, and the bathroom could use more than two hooks. I also didn’t like that left luggage meant leaving your bag by reception, which isn’t staffed all the time. Still, it’s a nice hotel in a decent location at a reasonable price.

The rooms and breakfast were good, and the location was very nice. But the cleaning was pretty poor: the cleaner just made the beds and took out the trash. On our third night we left our towels on the floor to get clean ones. They were taken, but no replacements were left, and reception was already closed, so we had no towels. The door locks were terrible, especially the outside one. They often didn’t work, leaving people locked out and having to call the manager to open the door remotely because reception was closed. One receptionist with dark hair was super sweet. The other, a young woman with blond hair, came across as cocky and arrogant, and it seemed clear she hated her job. We’d come back and would recommend the place if you just need somewhere to crash, but bring your own towel.
