The reception staff work hard, and the room was nice, but the hotel clearly wasn’t finished. There was no pool, breakfast room, or other facilities, which were the reason we booked. The parking barrier didn’t work properly either. We’d booked two weeks but didn’t get much of a holiday feeling. At this point, it doesn’t deserve five stars.
I got a fantastic deal here and would gladly come back, assuming the materials hold up over time. The studio felt brand new, was spotless, and made smart use of its space, with everything we needed. A couple of small catches: there were only two Nespresso pods, and extra ones cost 5 PLN each, so bring coffee if you like. Our bathroom radiator seemed off at first; I found the switch at the bottom right after searching online, and it warmed gradually. The TV only has regular channels, though the hotel-mode passcode is still the default if you look it up. The place looks great now, and I hope it ages well. There may also be another block with a pool under construction next year.
This was nothing like the property shown online, and I wouldn't recommend it. After we booked, we found out that the pool, restaurant, and spa weren't available. The place is still being built and doesn't have basic facilities in place. Breakfast was very poor, with no drinks, and amenities were sparse. I hope management reviews what happened and offers a suitable resolution.
Ustronie Morskie felt deserted in winter. The hotel stay itself was pleasant, and the construction work didn't bother us. There is a little shop three minutes away, and Lidl, Biedronka, and Dino are about 2 km from the hotel. It takes around ten minutes to walk to work. The basement playground is indoors, but it gets cold in winter and might be nicer in summer; there isn't an outdoor one. Hotel parking costs extra and is behind a barrier, though the street is a dead-end and you can park there. We got free passes to the municipal pool, but the water was so cold it seemed straight from the Baltic Sea. We only went twice, stayed three hours in total, and left after an hour.
The children's facilities were a real highlight: the whole basement has a playroom, game room, basketball court, mini climbing wall, little trampolines, air hockey, table tennis and more, all free. During the holidays, staff also run activities and competitions. The grounds are spotless, housekeeping staff are very friendly, there is a drinking water dispenser on each floor, and guests can use the nearby HELIOS Aquapark for three hours daily, including after checkout on the last day. The hotel clearly caters to families, and there is a lot for kids to do. Our booking was for a 45m² Premium Apartment for two adults and two children, but at check-in they first struggled to find the reservation, then said we'd be moved to a cheaper 35m² apartment because a pipe had burst somewhere in the basement. We asked what compensation was offered and were told parking or breakfast. We didn't need parking, since there are dozens of legal, marked spaces nearby that are free even in peak season. Breakfast is delivered to the room door in a box-catering style, like Viking Kitchen, which has very negative reviews here. We declined and asked for the room-price difference back. The smaller room felt cramped for four, had only three chairs, glasses and plates, and its glass partition between bedroom and living area offered little privacy. The ventilation in the bathroom smelled unpleasant. At least our view was of the parking lot rather than the construction site. We never heard an apology during the stay. I understand breakdowns happen. We later learned this one occurred the day before we arrived, not that day. I didn't accuse them of deliberately moving guests to cheaper rooms, though human error seems possible, especially if our prepaid room had already been assigned. The offered free parking was 4 x 30 PLN, which felt inadequate beside the 250 PLN difference between Premium and Superior. The staff praise in my original comments was only for housekeeping, absolutely not the receptionist. Thanks for replying; perhaps management will see that this isn't how to treat a customer, particularly for a property aiming at five stars. I hope my review helps improve the service and gives future guests a useful basis for deciding.
