Zajazd Kosynier

Our room had a balcony with a lovely view, good storage, a desk, a modern bathroom, and a comfortable bed. It was simple rather than luxurious, but clean, practical, and just right for us. The guesthouse is in Zielonki, in a quiet semi-rural spot outside Kraków, though Bolt or Uber gets you to the historic center in minutes and costs little. We spent three days and nights at Zajazd Kosynier, and it was peaceful, affordable, and welcoming throughout. Meals were a highlight. Breakfast came with Polish staples like eggs and kielbasa, plus a lovely cottage cheese crêpe. For dinner we had homemade pierogies with meat, cheese and onion, and plum fillings, served with sour cream. It felt more like eating with a family than at a restaurant. Janina and Waldemar, the mother and son who host the place, made us feel like extended family. They both speak fluent English, were quick to respond, and handled even small concerns with care. The Wi-Fi was excellent too. I was up before breakfast one day and had coffee with Janina. When I asked, she told me fascinating stories about going from Poland to the U.S. and back. I suggested she write a book, and she smiled and said people tell her that all the time. The rates are modest for the quality of the stay. I don’t often leave reviews, but this family-run hotel near Kraków earned one. If you’re after comfort, good value, and a personal connection, Zajazd Kosynier delivers.

We were cold the whole time. Even bundled up in warm sweaters and tucked under the duvets in our room, we still couldn’t get comfortable.

The food was incredible, and the people here made us feel like family. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at!! 😁

I hosted dinner for 12, and everything went really well. The facilities, service, and food were all excellent.
