Central Station Hostel

I couldn’t even get inside, thankfully. There were five key boxes on the gate and I had no idea which one was the right one. I tried the codes on all of them, but none worked. Realizing I’d been tricked, I looked up the reviews on Google and left straight away. Why is Booking listing this place?

We only lasted six hours here. I was with my 13-year-old daughter, and we left at 5am tired and feeling unsafe because drunk people shouted in the corridors all night, making it impossible to sleep. The hostel itself was in awful shape, with dirt, damage, and worn-out furnishings everywhere. Days later, they accused us of burning a hole in the mattress and demanded 1000 PLN. I say the accusation was false. I called the number they’d listed, which was just a mobile number, with no official contact details, but the person hung up on me. This felt like a scam. The place was filthy and shady, and Booking.com should remove it. Avoid it.

I couldn’t use the shower or toilet during the one night I stayed, and ended up going to a restaurant instead. The toilet was broken and the shower was tiny. There was rubbish in the room when we arrived, the sheet was dirty, and they’d left just one small, old towel for two people. The furniture was ancient and damaged, and the room didn’t look like the photos. Stay away, this felt like a scam.

I gave up on the beds and slept on the floor, which felt cleaner and was more comfortable. One bed had springs poking into your back; on the other, I kept getting bitten by something and couldn’t sleep. The corridors had no working lights, and the electrics were alarming: sparks came from inside the extension lead when I plugged in the TV. That TV looked like it was from the 80s and only had one channel. At 10, before the 11 checkout time, the cleaner tried to come into our room. Then they left a key hanging outside our door, so anyone could have entered while we were changing. Avoid this Hotel.
