Chopin Apartments Eco

I couldn't make the trip because of a family issue, and even though the room was non-refundable, they gave me a full refund. No hotel has done that for me before. I can't speak to the place itself, but they deserve the business for showing that kind of humanity. 😁

The bedding didn't fit the bed, the balcony felt dangerous, the shower outlet was broken, and the mattress was worn and misshapen. Getting the apartment key was a real hassle too. 😥😥

Access was difficult.

The window view was the one thing I liked. The apartment was hard to locate, and collecting the keys meant going to another building 300 meters away. Inside, the doors were thin enough that hallway noise came through, and the old photos didn't show how worn the place had become. I stayed from October 3rd to 7th, 2020. Renovations and a clogged shower meant there was no cold water at first. The owner offered another place by phone, but it was lower standard, so I stayed and used a shower in a different apartment. I had to ask for mine to be fixed the next day. Near the end, the hot water ran out too. A message that evening went unanswered until late the following morning. On checkout day, I saw a large silverfish crawling on the wall above my bed, then found more dried ones in the bathroom. After I complained through Booking.com, the owner said they wouldn't agree to a partial refund and disputed my account. They said there had been no bugs before check-in, only one after checkout, and asked me where it had come from. I never got an apology. On the phone, the owner suggested I was trying to extort money because I complained only after leaving. I don't recommend the apartment.
