Emka Hostel

We spent one night here with our four kids while in transit, and the location worked perfectly. The staff were kind and welcoming, from reception and security to the canteen team. Breakfast was simple but delicious, and our room was warm, clean, and tidy, with good beds and nice sheets. Highly recommended.

We were in room #3 on the 2nd floor, above the Kameralna Restauracja restaurant. On both Friday and Saturday nights, the music went on until 1-2 am and was so loud the room vibrated. We couldn’t sleep. The hotel reception was closed, calls went unanswered, and complaining to the restaurant did nothing. With help from building security, we eventually reached the hostel manager. Around 1 am, after two nights when neither I nor the children could rest, we finally got keys to another room and could go to bed. There’d been no warning when booking about the noise, and it’s impossible to rest when the restaurant is celebrating. The room was already quite worn, and the shelves were broken. The stairwell had a terrible sewage smell, while the room smelled strongly of chemicals, apparently to cover other odors. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but it was the same each of the three days and got boring. I wouldn’t stay here on a weekend unless you plan to party all night too.

The entrance can be confusing the first time, but it’s easy once you know the way. From the main building gate, use the door at the far right, then go up to the first-floor reception. The staff were so friendly at breakfast and kept making sure I ate more. It felt like visiting an old granny. I loved my time here.

We had everything we needed and enjoyed staying here. It’s great value, in a super location, and the people are friendly. The bathroom could use a better clean and a few things need fixing, but it’s still functional. Huge thanks, I’d recommend it and stay again.
