I booked the apartment on booking.com when the dates were shown as available and paid in advance. After payment, I was told the apartment wasn’t actually available for those dates. I cancelled, and they didn’t offer another apartment. Now I have to wait for a refund of more than 1000zł. I honestly wouldn’t recommend it. Even so, the apartment is still listed on booking.com for the dates I was turned down for.

The apartment was filthy and unsanitary. It looked as if nobody had cleaned it in about five years. The large room smelled of cigarettes, the pillows had white stains, and the bathroom was covered in mold and reeked of sewage. Everything was dirty and sticky, with dust, cobwebs, and five spiders. Just awful. We arrived almost at night with our three-year-old and realized we couldn’t spend a second night in those conditions. When we described the problems in the booking.com chat and WhatsApp messages, they ignored what we were actually raising and didn’t address the issue. We got the impression these were likely scammers: we’d been unlucky to get their booking.com listing with fake reviews, while there was apparently another listing with real ones.
