Hotel Hetman

A calm hotel in a trendy area, with good breakfasts. There are nice restaurants, shops, a market, and a shopping center nearby. Metro, tram, and bus are all close, and the Old Town is only five minutes away by tram.

The room had a balcony, and the service was good. It was clean, affordable, and had a nice old-fashioned hotel feel, with a handy location in Praga near Wilenski station and Stare Miasto. The bed was the letdown: one leg was broken, the mattress felt very worn and much too soft, and the pillow wasn’t good either. There was also a strange smell, though nothing especially awful. Maybe we just got unlucky with that bed. I’d probably give the place another try if the issue was only in our room.

The breakfast was phenomenal, and the rooms were spacious. Great location and good service too!

For my work trip, my company booked this hotel. I couldn’t sleep in the small single room: it smelled strong, and the mattress sagged in the middle. I upgraded the next day to a larger room with a king bed, which was clean and good. The room had a little fridge, kettle, and complimentary water and tea. It was clean, the bathroom spotless, and they cleaned daily. I think that’s unusual for a three-star hotel, though I’m not sure. The location was nice and public transport easy to reach. Breakfast had lots of buffet options, but none tasted fresh or good to me. I’d rather see a small menu guests can order from, like many boutique and four-star hotels offer.
