The part that really bothered me was the lack of communication. We tried to contact the apartment owners about a card verification problem, but got no reply. Then, only three hours before we were due to arrive, our booking was canceled without warning. Reception said they couldn't help and told us to make a new reservation. The exact same room was then about 40% more expensive, leaving us on the way to Warsaw without anywhere to sleep. I can understand the owners' perspective: the card couldn't be verified, so the booking was canceled, and a last-minute rate was higher. But canceling three hours before our stay without a word, when we'd already tried to reach them, really wasn't okay. We had booked through booking.com, entered the card details as requested, and got a notification about 24 hours before arrival that the card couldn't be verified. We tried other cards, all with enough money to cover the stay, though payment wasn't supposed to happen until arrival. The app didn't explain much, so we messaged the owners to ask what was wrong and waited, figuring we'd sort it out when we got there.

The room we stayed in had a broken lock, so it didn’t feel secure. On top of that, management took my phone and still hasn’t returned it. I’ve been asking for it since July 26, and they won’t answer my calls. I’m very upset. My next step will be to contact the national newspaper and take the matter to court.

The staff tried to make the place feel welcoming, but the condition of it was hard to overlook. It’s dirty and in terrible shape, and the room feels like a prison cell. The photos look nice, but the real place is a poor-quality, dirty hole. It seems this might have been decent years ago.

The room was nice, and the beds were comfortable. There was a loft area too, though a few of the lights didn’t work.
