Prudentia Apartments Kłobucka

The flat was bright, spacious, clean and well equipped, with a comfortable bed and good internet. I chose it because it’s convenient for Chopin international airport, and the photos showed dark curtains. I’m a very sensitive sleeper and need complete darkness and quiet. That part was disappointing: I woke at 5am because the curtains aren’t blackout curtains. The apartment gets morning sun, so sunrise makes the bedroom quite bright despite the dark fabric. Keep that in mind.

We booked the apartment at 6a Kłodzka Street in Warsaw, and the access codes sent by email didn’t work. Customer service gave me more codes over the phone, but those failed too, so I was told to use the back entrance. The apartment door was unlocked, which was the only way we could get inside to find our keys and the gate remote. Once our luggage was in, we saw the state of the place: it hadn’t been cleaned, there was dust everywhere, curtain rods and the bathroom outlet had been torn from the walls, and the oven, cabinets and fridge were dirty. Bathroom cabinets were coming apart, there was no soap or spare toilet paper, the walls were scratched, and all four chair corners in the main room were scuffed, broken and wobbly. Paper was blocking the bedroom air vent, the TV was propped against the wall, and the sofa had awful stains, you can guess why. We asked to move to another apartment but were refused and told we could complain. No staff came to inspect it, and nobody mentioned sending a cleaner.

We didn’t even unpack our suitcases here, the first place where that’s happened. The floor, furniture and TV were dirty, the TV didn’t work from the start, the window handle was broken, the curtain was ripped and the bedding had holes. I contacted the complaints office and got nowhere. I recommend staying away.

The underground parking space with each apartment is a real bonus, and getting around or finding somewhere for a quick meal is easy. I've stayed in several of this company's apartments in Warsaw, mostly around Kłobucka and Pieskowa Skała. They’re generally good and fairly clean, with no major problems. Once the parking remote failed, and one apartment had a pretty worn shower. For the price, I’d recommend them.
