The food was delicious, and the waitress was kind and clearly doing her best. Still, that wasn't enough to make us happy with the restaurant. We held a small wedding reception and christening there, hoping for happy memories, but came away disappointed and feeling like second-class guests. The venue is beautiful, but its potential seems wasted after a string of managers who treated guests disrespectfully. The manager was pleasant, the woman less so, and they both greeted guests in tracksuits, apparently comfortable with a small child accompanying them. A small detail, but I expected more from hotel and restaurant staff. Even though we'd arranged a phone appointment, the manager said she had no time to finalize our plans because she was hosting a tasting for another wedding. So our reception seemed less important. We couldn't come back for a week, and she said that would be too late and we'd lose the reservation. She eventually agreed to note our menu choices while looking at her watch. The separate room with garden access we'd booked was already set up for another reception. Without asking us or explaining, they seated us elsewhere. I don't know why the manager thought that was better, perhaps it was easier for the one-person waitstaff, who struggled even with our small party. The cake was plain, small, and far more expensive than seemed reasonable, and didn't look or taste as I'd imagined. I probably won't return or recommend it. I didn't enjoy the party for 20, and I certainly wouldn't invite 200.

It's a shame, since the restaurant is nice and has potential. The modest staff deserve credit for keeping their composure and doing their best. But last Saturday's First Communion for our son was a disaster. They were handling a dozen such receptions with just eight waiters and one chef, and it showed. The room had no decorations for the occasion, just old birthday decorations. We waited more than an hour for the main course. The coffee was cold because the cork was blown, and the cake wasn't what we expected. We had to ask for everything we'd ordered and wait for it, and the fruit arrived near the end. There were issues with cutlery, cups, and other things too.

At the Saturday First Communion for my son, the service left me very disappointed and stressed. We arrived on time, then waited an hour for cold chicken soup and two hours for the main course. The devolay was burnt, the children's nagets were spicy, and the next meal was much the same. The cake was chipped, with fingers pushed into it, and we waited for it too because there were no cake carts. Coffee was cold as well. Across the whole restaurant, there were eight waiters for 380 people. The bouncy castle was too small for all the children, and we had to watch them so it wouldn't tip over. I don't recommend this restaurant.

We chose Traktat for our wedding reception and were happy with the venue and the service at every stage, before, during, and after the ceremony. The food was delicious, the place itself was beautiful, and the huge garden gave the kids plenty of room. There are so many good things I could keep listing them. We recommend it and will definitely come back!
