The apartment hadn’t been cleaned, and the sheets and towels smelled awful. Then I found a cockroach in the shower. They also demanded a 1,000 złoty security deposit that hadn’t been mentioned on the booking website.

The location is perfect, right in the city centre, and the staff were great about staying in touch. I spent two nights there. The room and bathroom weren’t spotless, but they were acceptable, and the bedding and towels were very clean, which mattered most to me. For a short stay it’s perfectly adequate, and the price is incredibly affordable for that location. I highly recommend it.

The only good thing was the fast internet. The place was filthy and full of things that barely worked. The problems started at the entrance: the electric lock jammed, so you had to force the latch or hope someone was inside to open the door. I had to open it myself because they couldn’t get in. The room was dirty, including the curtains and windows. The sheets were fresh, but the pillows and duvet were dirty inside. The window was barely attached and didn’t seal, so you could hear everything. There was an air conditioner, but it didn’t work, or its remote was dead. The walls were dirty, the bathroom shower was loose and grimy, and water dripped from the ceiling onto your head. The furniture was barely holding together, the fridge stank, and there wasn’t even dish soap to clean up after yourself. I don’t recommend it.

Horrible. This place ought to be boarded up, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The apartment photos the owners post don’t match what’s really there. They’re brazenly misleading people. The place is dirty and stinks, and they even charged an extra fee for taking out the trash. It’s an ordinary hostel, not even a third-rate one. You’d be better off spending the night at the train station.
