Expedia.at customer service came through for us: they tried to reach the host without success, then quickly arranged alternative accommodation at no extra charge. I’m glad they helped, but the whole booking experience with the host felt very dubious. I booked through Expedia.at around 10-14 days before we were due to leave. Messages through the site went unanswered, including when I asked a few days later about checking in early. Calls didn’t go well either. At first nobody picked up; later a man answered, mumbled that he didn’t have time, wouldn’t let me speak, and hung up. My cousin tried calling from her Polish number, but got the same rude treatment. They then said there was no booking under my name. When she asked about a refund, the man said it wasn’t his business and told me to stop contacting him. He blocked her number afterward, so she couldn’t call back. This all happened the day before departure, when a straightforward cancellation wasn’t possible. I know I could have tried to get in touch sooner, so part of that was on me. I initially thought Expedia.at had made a mistake, but their customer service confirmed they could see the reservation. The host eventually told them he was fully booked. I’d be careful about booking here. Expedia’s customer service was great.

My payment went through when I made the reservation at 1:00 PM, but the man said there was no confirmation email. Apparently that was the end of it. Neither my reservation number nor the confirmation email counted for anything.

The price was very good, and the location worked well for me. It’s a modern building with a reception desk for collecting and returning the keys, plus parking in the underground garage. I stayed there recently.

The rooms and bathroom were spotless, and the staff were really friendly. We’re grateful for the stay at Werset Comfort and will definitely return. I’d recommend it!
