Villa Madre Golf & Family

The ketchup charge really put me off. There was no price for it on the menu, but at checkout a tiny portion cost half as much as the fries. That kind of hidden charge reflects badly on the owner and put me off visiting again. I ate at the restaurant yesterday, and the food wasn't good either: the Pepsi had been opened well before I ordered it, the pork chop seemed fried at too low a temperature and was greasy, and the old, watery salad left the potatoes soggy underneath.

The staff were nice, and the rooms looked clean and modern. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. But the room we got didn't match the booking site's description: there was no sofa and no toiletries apart from hand soap. Breakfast was disappointing, with little choice and a charge for a second coffee. The Wi-Fi barely worked in room no. 5. Security could be better too, since keys were easy to reach at reception, often with nobody watching. And card payments were only offered in Euro, my home currency, at an unfavorable exchange rate instead of in Złoty.

The place was clean and the staff were really nice, but wow, it was so overpriced! Sure, we all know it's the season, but we're not in Croatia.

The breakfasts are pretty meager, with just one coffee per person and a choice of scrambled eggs, pancakes, or both. For a three-star place, I wouldn't expect anything fancy. The lady does listen to every request, though, so the poor thing ends up running around a bit.
