Gosciniec Wenecja

The location is good, 2 km from the town centre and beside the newly opened ecological centre in Wisła. The place clearly had its heyday, but it hasn’t been renovated for years.

The kitchenette, big sofa, and reliably hot shower water made this a handy place for a ski trip. We stayed last year as a family of four, and the room was warm, clean, and everything worked as it should.

The owner was friendly, and the price felt fair for the standard. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Vistula Market Square. The room stayed warm in winter and there was no trouble getting hot water. Beds were okay, with towels and bedding provided. There was a kettle, glasses, plates, cutlery, and even a chopping board, though the kitchen utensils were far too limited for three people, just one fork. The CRT TV only had TVP channels. The room was clean, but clearly past its best: peeling plaster, moisture-warped panels, and mold on the bathroom blinds.

The beds are fairly comfortable, but that’s about the only good thing. The TV hardly works, the toilet leaks, the bathroom rugs are wet, and the old appliances don’t work. Fine for a night or three, but I wouldn’t stay longer or recommend it.
