Hotel New Wave

We had a lovely stay and were happy with the experience. The rooms are small, but very pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of variety, including homemade spreads and amazing eggs, with something new each day. The evening bar menu was enough for us, and the mojito and pina colada we were served were very good. The pool is large and has a beautiful view. The wellness area had a few issues, though. The jacuzzi wasn’t hot enough in the afternoon; later it was fine, but there was foam that stung our eyes a little. The sauna also wasn’t ready at 4 pm as the website said. Maybe that was because we were there just after Christmas and there were few guests.

The chef was accommodating and clearly proud of his work, and the food was lovely. Staff were friendly, the indoor and outdoor pools were great, and the views were cracking. We came at the end of summer season and would return in summer or winter. The slopes look great for skiing.

There’s lots to like here: a great pool, delicious meals, greenery around the hotel, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, plenty of parking, and toys and activities for kids. The interiors are clean and nice. The hotel is otherwise perfect in every sense. Still, the behavior of some Polish guests during our three-night stay was disappointing. We were rarely greeted, and some let their children damage the snowmen, two dolls and other things in the children’s corner. People spilled liquid on the billiard table and unique hotel carpet, left used napkins everywhere, took food out of the restaurant, and behaved ruthlessly at breakfast and dinner. It’s sad that a substantial part of the Polish middle class knows too little about good manners.

The best thing about this hotel is the food and The Cook with the kitchen staff. They take on dietary challenges and prepare meals so everyone is satisfied.
