My rating is subjective, since people expect different things, but I’d give it a 5. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the meals were tasty and generous. They’re clearly putting effort into maintaining a place with furnishings that are decades old. Some things show their age: the window fittings were out of adjustment, the shower had knobs, and the facade was damaged. Still, if you’re after peace and quiet, a beautiful balcony view, plenty of parking, a tennis court, and a ping-pong table, this could suit you.

I came back to the same place after 20 years, and it was nice to be here again. The room was large, had a balcony, and met all my expectations. The homemade food was wonderful and delicious, with big portions, and the service was very friendly. It’s peaceful, away from the city center, with the smell of the forest around you. There’s a handy shortcut to bus stops, mountain trails, and the center of Wisła. Even the comfortable chairs in the “smoking room” by the entrance are good for a nap after a mountain hike, not just for smoking. I recommend it to anyone who values peace and quiet.

You can get to the center of Wisła quickly by a pedestrian shortcut, so there’s no need to drive. The location is a little above the center, with more of that forest smell, and parking is free. There’s lots to do on site: tennis, table tennis, billiards, table football, and a ski room. The rooms are large, the staff are very friendly, and it’s genuinely restful. Food comes buffet style, with generous, delicious portions. The price per night seemed attractive, relatively cheap for what you get. The bathroom tiles are from the communist era, but they’re clean, and I’m fine with that. Anyone after a very high standard will need to look elsewhere and pay accordingly. The receipt says “Silesian Voivodeship Headquarters of the Volunteer Labor Corps in Katowice.” I like this place :)
