The rooms were clean, but cold in the evenings. We couldn’t turn on the radiators, and during our three-day stay we had cold water for bathing and even for washing dishes. The games room was closed when we wanted to use it.

The rooms were lovely, with new, spotless bedding. Getting to the center takes quite a while on foot or by car, though, and there are no shops or restaurants nearby. If you get back late from the slopes, you may end up wandering around town looking for a grocery store. You can only reach the owner by phone, and she doesn’t seem concerned about whether guests need help or information. A Ukrainian woman greets arrivals and is expected to handle everything, from clearing snow to changing the bedding.

The place was pleasant enough, but it didn’t have much character or anything distinctive, so my husband and I won’t be adding it to our list of places to revisit. We often stay in guesthouses, and there were a few things we noticed. Breakfast was poor quality and hard to digest, and there was only instant coffee, no ground coffee. We only drink espresso, so that was a letdown. We arrived in the evening and had trouble communicating with staff who didn’t speak Polish. The room was tidy, though I thought there was some lint on the bathroom floor. Since we were there for just one night, we didn’t look into it further.

The setting was peaceful, with the stream murmuring nearby. We enjoyed the owner, on-site breakfast, parking, the view, two balconies in our room, the barbecue shelter, garden, billiards, fireplace, big library, and games for the children. A couple of things could be better: the rooms felt a little chilly, and the water wasn’t as hot when everyone showered in the evening. The walls and floors are thin, so noise carries. Still, we had a pleasant stay and would like to come back.

A lovely base for walks along the Vistula River or hikes on the mountain trails. The rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast is available on site. It’s peaceful and quiet, yet still close to the city center. I recommend it!
