Basecamp Wrocław

I've stayed in hostels all over Europe, and this was the best one for me, better than a good star hotel. What I paid felt more than worth it. It was clean and brand new, with all the amenities I needed, a private bathroom, shared kitchen, and real privacy and quiet. They even provided three towels, which I don't usually get at hostels. Breakfast and the gym at the base of the camp were both standard. I'd recommend it.

We really liked the view from our room, looking out at the cathedral and another church. There were also some nice facilities, like table tennis, a hair dryer, warm water, and shower gel. The bed sheets could have been cleaner, though, as they had dust and some hair on them. It would also help to have the Wi-Fi details in the room. We stayed in a hotel room and enjoyed the visit overall.

Our dog was welcome for about 10 EUR (40 PLN) per night, and there are lots of coffee and breakfast places nearby. The location worked well for us, about a 15 minute walk to the city center, with Ostrow Tumski and the botanical garden right in front of the building. The room was spotless, with a modern design that still felt cozy. The wall colors and little details reminded me a bit of Almodovar movies :) The bed was big and comfortable, and the window view was lovely. There's a well equipped gym too, though you need to register by email first.

The modern, simple decor made it easy to settle in and head out to see the city 🏙️. But the room was loud, the bathroom wasn't clean, and the sheets were stained. Students nearby partied on a weekday until 3 am, and I could hear and feel women laughing and stomping past curfew. The poor sound insulation made those two nights feel like trauma. My sleep quality went from 23 to 3. The kitchen didn't have a microwave, which was ridiculous, and the route to it was full of construction 🚧. TRAUMAtised.
