Mövenpick Grand Hotel Wroclaw

We spent 5 nights here, and it was easily our best accommodation in Poland. Our big, beautiful room was on the 5th floor, directly across from Wroclaw train station. We used the spa almost every day. It was very clean, with big towels and calming music. Restaurants are close by, and we highly recommend Samarqand and the Bombay Grille. The Old Town is about 15 minutes away on foot, with plenty of public transport available too. The Christmas market was lots of fun, and Polish people were friendly and helpful, most speaking very good English. We checked out the breakfast buffet but found the selection disappointing and the price high for what was offered. Instead, we went around the corner to the Zabka and bought delicious croissants, fruit, orange juice, fresh rolls, Edam cheese, and prosciutto for less than $20.

The rooms are compact but very thoughtfully designed, with lovely attention to detail. From the upper floors, you can see Wroclaw main station. The hotel is gorgeous, and the service was attentive. Breakfast was a decent spread, and the central location puts attractions just minutes away. Wroclaw main station is right across the street. Such a great experience!

The location is handy for the train station, with lots of fast food nearby and a mall behind it that has everything you might need. The old city is a 20 minute walk. WiFi was fast, the bar had a good atmosphere, and the chocolate happy hour was awesome. We also liked the Mövenpick Café and its variety of options. Check-in went well, though the receptionist was odd and unprofessional, even if nice, and didn’t feel like the Mövenpick brand. At breakfast the staff were lovely and amazing, but some should ask before taking away a half-eaten plate. One evening, people were partying in the jacuzzi with alcohol, so we didn’t want to stay there. The next day it wasn’t working at all, maybe because of the night before, and nobody had told us. It’s incomprehensible that you can’t tip by credit card or charge it to your room in 2025, when we don’t necessarily carry cash. All in all, we’d stay again, and probably will.

The rooms at Mövenpick in Wrocław were spotless and nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly. Daria was especially kind to me. I also appreciated the small personal touches and amenities, especially “chocolate hour.” I’d never stayed with this brand before, but the experience was absolutely exemplary. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Wrocław, and will keep an eye out for Mövenpicks from now on.
