Quorum Apartments

I paid for an apartment and never got into it. When I finally reached the property, I was left outside with my luggage, despite arriving on time. I called the contact number, but the person barely spoke English, was unfriendly, and didn’t help. Nobody came to let me in. The next day they cancelled my booking, with no refund or apology. I feel completely scammed, and think this is outright fraud. Booking.com shouldn’t allow this. The whole process was confusing from the start. Check-in was at a different location where we had to pick up the keys, with no clear signs and difficult parking. The person at the desk tried their best to help but couldn’t reach anyone from the accommodation either. I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was a disaster. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and money. There are plenty of better, more honest places to stay. Shameful and unprofessional from start to finish.

We left on the first morning of a two-day booking and didn’t stay the second night. The room was damp and stuffy, with mold on the ceilings, and we began having trouble breathing. The air conditioning didn’t work and we were freezing. The jacuzzi was in very poor condition. There was drilling and renovation noise in the unfinished building until 10:00 PM, then again at 8:00 AM. At the entrance they took a 500 PLN deposit and asked us to sign a document. We understood it was to confirm acceptance of the renovations, meaning we couldn’t complain. Reception opens at 2:00 PM, but the contract says the deposit must be returned by 11:00 AM at the latest. With nobody at the desk, they claim you didn’t report it and refuse to refund the money. We were scammed. Check the Google reviews, they have a 3-star rating. Don’t be fooled.

We were worried after reading the comments, but the apartment turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It may look bigger in the photos, but we were happy with the actual size. The place was spotless, the decor was breathtaking, and the views were beautiful. The attention to detail was excellent, and for the price, we’d recommend it. Other reviews mentioned knocking and banging, but we didn’t hear any of that. It was quiet, peaceful, and atmospheric. We highly recommend the apartment.

I don’t recommend staying here. It was hard to reach an agreement about the reservation, and at checkout they accused us of damaging the mirror, which was a blatant lie. They took our 500 PLN deposit without a word. It’s a shame they couldn’t inspect the apartment while we were still there and only let the cleaning company check it. Or perhaps they damaged the mirror themselves? They never replied to my email complaint about the apartment being dirty. A very bad experience.
