Some of the rooms could use repairs, which is why I’m giving four stars. The wedding venue itself is amazing, with excellent staff and service, and the food was genuinely good quality, not the kind of hotel food people worry about. I’d love to come back.

I had a very nice stay for almost a week. It’s a simple hotel, but really welcoming.

There’s a big garden, which my dog loved, and breakfast was among the best I’ve had at a B&B. The hotel has an old-fashioned, quaint feel but still offers modern conveniences and a warm, friendly welcome. Everything was clean. My single bed was comfortable, there were plenty of power and USB sockets, the shower worked well, and the towel rail was heated. Adjusting the room temperature was easy too.

I grew up in the area and remembered the building well, so I was impressed by how nicely Stara Garbarnia has been renovated. They’re still making improvements, and it seemed that suggestions are taken seriously. I stayed twice in October 2017 and enjoyed both visits. The staff were so hospitable, especially Ula at reception and Ania in the restaurant. I wish I’d been there in summer, since the grounds look lovely. It’s also well located, a three-minute walk from the main road and public transport, and the tram to the Old Town takes about 30 minutes and runs every few minutes. I’ll definitely be back soon. Thank you all!
