Urban Apartments

Be very careful booking with UrbanApartments. We reserved the Modern Apartment on 31st of August for a trip to the Christmas Markets from 6th to the 9th of December. Two days before we traveled, they emailed to say they’d overbooked and would put us in a bigger apartment on the main market square, supposedly with lovely views of the square and city hall. When we arrived, we stood outside the building at 50 Ruska street for half an hour before they let us in to collect the key. We didn’t get the apartment with the promised view either. They gave us one looking over a Supermarket and offered one breakfast each at a restaurant up in the square as compensation. The apartment was noisy, with traffic and loud music 🎶 from a nearby pub or nightclub. The staff were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. After we got home, we submitted a review and the very next day they emailed to say they were charging 124 euro to my card for a stain on the kitchen ceiling. We did not cause it. The ceiling was too high to reach even if we stood on the kitchen counter. I’ve emailed, but no one has replied properly or called me. So think carefully before booking, and don’t give them your bank card details, as they’ll take money after you’ve left. They need to learn how to treat customers.

The boho apartment worked really well for our weekend, with good facilities and a great location. One small thing to plan for: you pick up the keys nearby, about a five-minute walk away. Thanks, Urban, we’ll be back soon!

Self check-in was easy thanks to the clear instructions, and the location and price were both great. A five-star stay : )

Too expensive for such a tiny, outdated place.
