Hotel Czardasz

It’s quiet, and there’s a lake right beside it. That’s nice.

Best wishes from Przemek.

Great.

We spent around 40 minutes being told the party would end soon, but it didn’t. The owner refused to move us and then threatened us, saying we had to come to breakfast at a time he chose. He even told us to call the police. Only after we called the hotel website, which turned out to belong to the real owner, did anything change. A very kind staff member arrived and got us a different room in about five seconds. So it could have been sorted all along, but someone chose to make a fuss instead. The whole stay was a disaster and showed a shocking lack of professionalism. An 18th birthday party was taking place right beneath our room, with banging, shouting and music so loud we couldn’t have a normal conversation, much less sleep. I went to reception to ask when it would stop and whether we could change rooms if it carried on. A man there introduced himself as the owner. Instead of helping, he argued with me and said I should sleep through the noise because he wasn’t interested. He said I was overreacting and that everything bothered me. Then he started prying into my private life, commenting that I was staying with my partner rather than my husband. He said that for him it was “only husband and wife,” that he “knows full well what people like us do,” and that nothing should bother us in that situation. It was demeaning, rude and completely out of line. I’ve never been treated so arrogantly or unprofessionally at a hotel. Guests are made to feel like intruders instead of customers. If you want a peaceful rest and basic respect, I strongly advise against staying here.
