Everything else was great, though I did miss having a microwave.

Really great!
The sound of the stream is hard to get away from. It runs through the courtyard, which is like a large well, and you can’t see it from the room, but the noise gets amplified. With the window open, sleeping is difficult. With it shut, it’s like a hairdryer is running. The restaurant and its storage area are only a few metres from the window too, so when it’s busy you’ll need to close the curtains for privacy. The mountain view mentioned on Booking.com is quite limited, either between the tables in the upstairs restaurant or through the branches of a tree. We spent two nights here. The place was clean and fairly comfortable, with a pleasant, minimalist design. It’s conveniently located at the start of Zakopane’s pedestrian zone. Just be aware that there’s no parking. We were lucky enough to find the last available spot near the church almost every time, but it still cost 24 PLN per night, and I imagine parking is less pleasant in high season. The apartment is on the third floor, with stairs to climb. That wasn’t a big problem for us, but carrying lots of luggage or having limited mobility could make the walk from the car on the neighbouring street and up to the room a challenge. If you don’t mind the noise, I recommend it.
The location is good and the place was very clean, but it still needs a lot of work before I’d call it an apartment. We stayed for a weekend, and it was freezing when we arrived. The host hadn’t turned on the underfloor heating earlier, and it took 24 hours to warm up despite the freezing weather outside. My son slept on a folding camp bed in what was supposed to be the living room. The door let in so much cold air that he had to bundle up like a bear. We ended up hanging a blanket over it because it felt as if he were sleeping outside. This was our first time having that problem in the apartment. Getting to “apartment” no. 3 was dangerous too. The gutters dripped constantly onto the only sidewalk leading to the room. In low temperatures, you had to hold the fence to avoid falling and breaking a leg. You couldn’t walk normally. Supplies were skimpy: two dishwasher tablets and four dishes, not enough to make using the dishwasher worthwhile, so we washed them by hand. There were only two thin rolls of the cheapest toilet paper, and we had to buy more after those ran out. Apart from the cleanliness and location, it was just an ordinary room. The price was very high for this level of service.
The owner was kind and moved us to another apartment, but I can’t recommend the one we were first given, and we won’t be back. It was in a complete mess, with mediocre conditions: the bed was broken, the floor creaked, and I was afraid to look in the closet. There was even an uninvited guest running around the kitchen.
