Aparthotel Prestige

The room was nicely decorated and had a balcony. The cocktails at the bar were nice, though the beer tap didn't work. There was no window in our bedroom, and the sofa wasn't usable because of the low roof. There was only tea in the room, no coffee machine or instant coffee. The shower leaked, and reception didn't seem keen to replace the towels we'd already used to mop up the water. The road to the hotel is full of craters. If your car is low, forget it. My mini SUV bottomed out twice. The dog-friendly policy may suit some, but after sitting in the bar, I found hairs on my clothes, and you won't sleep if the dogs are noisy. The spa had two saunas and three jacuzzis and was open from 12pm to 12am. It was dirty, with half empty cups of alcohol left around and no staff keeping the place tidy. One sauna bench had damaged wood and I nearly fell through it. Don't get breakfast. It comes in a black, prepackaged container, all together, so the hot food is cold or the salad is warm and sweaty. I've had better breakfasts on airplanes. It was absolutely rank, and at 45PLN you'd be better off buying something at a shop to make yourself. I hate to say it, but it was the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. Such a shame, because a few small changes could make this a lovely hotel.

Our room had a lovely mountain view and everything we needed: plates, a fridge, towels, hair dryer and shower gel. Underground parking was a big plus, and we appreciated the administrator suggesting we leave our bikes where the security cameras could see them. That gave us peace of mind. The staff experience depended on who was at reception. They weren't especially warm, but we got used to the reserved hospitality we'd encountered across Poland. Breakfast was brought to our room, which was convenient, but usually arrived late, between 8:15 and 9:00 AM. It was just okay, and we wouldn't recommend it or include it next time. Housekeeping was a weak spot. You have to hang the sign on the door for them to clean, which is fine, but the floors weren't mopped during our whole 8-night stay, and some spots were sticky when we arrived. They changed the towels, but sometimes left a different number, and toilet paper was given out sparingly. It was disappointing that some guests smoked on their balconies and ignored the quiet hours at night.

The rooms are okay and the wellness is affordable, but the photos make the place look much better than it is. Tourism businesses need people who speak English.

It's a warm, cozy, luxurious hotel with free parking and a spa that has a jacuzzi and sauna. The hotel isn't very large and sits about ten minutes by car from the center of Zakopane. I'd recommend coming by car. Highly recommended.
