Camping Pod Krokwia

We pitched our own tent here, and even with other tents and caravans around, the site still felt uncrowded. The kitchen is ready to use any time of day and has what you need to cook. Toilets and showers are available too, and the restrooms were clean. Staff helped us choose a nice spot and gave us a great price. If you like camping in your own tent, it's a very affordable option.

I left relieved. There aren't many dog-friendly walks nearby anyway, and the campground became far too cramped, with no privacy or room to spread out. There was no limit on how many people could camp, so queues built up for the showers, toilets, and kitchen. I couldn't even open my door to pack. Campers arrived around 11pm and put up tents noisily; hikers were up at 3am for the mountains, and some groups drank and partied. Outside peak season it might be a nice place, since it has what you need, though everything is very dated.

The people running the place are lovely and happy to help or answer questions, and we keep coming back. Our house had all we needed for sleeping there after days out: a hot shower, kitchen, fridge, heaters, and a lovely window view. I don't personally mind the quality of the renovation, since the mountains and outdoor activities are what bring people here. The house takes me back to school trips and the tourist camps we stayed in as kids, which is a really nice nostalgic feeling. I'd recommend it for a family staying in a house or friends camping in tents, and we'll definitely return.

A pretty good campsite right in town, though some pitches still feel close to nature. I can't give it the top rating, since the showers had no hot water.
