We left right away and had to find somewhere else. Booking customer service arranged another accommodation for us and covered the difference, which was helpful. If this happens to you, know your rights and ask Booking to arrange another place. The listing photos were misleading, and a place like this shouldn’t be on there. We booked based on those photos and the high ratings, but arrived to find nobody answering the door, so we went in alone. The place was disgusting: moldy, dirty dishes, a foul-smelling couch, overflowing bins full of beer and cigarettes, and kitchen counters and tables piled with dishes that looked more than a week old. It felt apocalyptic. Avoid it, even if another place costs a bit more. We also felt that random people might come and stay in the shared areas, possibly using drugs and eating there. It seemed very suspicious and should be investigated.

The hostel was comfortable and pleasant, with a nice crowd while still being peaceful. The host even offered to drive me to the trailhead at 6:30 in the morning so I’d make the start of my guided trip on time. I’m sure I’ll come back.

It was clean, and at 10€ a night the price felt fair for what you get. I stayed just one night, though the other guests weren’t very friendly, which shaped how I felt about the hostel. There are only two electrical sockets in the dorm for eight people, so charging devices overnight isn’t easy.

The convenience store just below is genuinely handy, and this spot works well for solo hikers short on time who are heading to the mountains. The beds are standard IKEA bunks, the bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen was usable. There’s no reception, but plenty of hikers around to ask for route suggestions.

For a cheap overnight stay, this place does the job. It’s simple but has what you need: clean, cozy rooms, a shower, lockers for your things in the shared bedroom, and enough kitchen equipment to cook.
