IJG Imperial Apartamenty Szymaszkowa

We had everything we needed in the apartment, and the terrace view was gorgeous. Such a great place to stay. I really enjoyed my time here and hope to be back soon.

It’s peaceful here despite being close to town, and the views are spectacular. The apartment itself is beautiful and very clean. We highly recommend it.

I booked the IJG apartment with a mountain view for two nights through booking.com. The non-refundable total was 1304.10 PLN, more than a five-star hotel in the center of zakopane. Before the stay, the owner messaged me on WhatsApp saying I had to deposit 1000 PLN or provide my card details. Staff also said 500-1000 PLN would be taken if the apartment wasn’t cleaned before leaving or the garbage wasn’t taken outside. None of that was mentioned on booking.com. They said I could cancel if I didn’t agree, but I’d lose the full amount, so I felt I had no choice but to go. When I arrived, the apartment was so hot that staying for five minutes felt impossible. That same day, there was an RCB alert on 15.7.2023 about heat above 30C. I asked to change rooms, but staff said choosing a room without AC was my decision and they couldn’t move me. The apartment took my 1304 PLN for nothing.

The place, room, and location were all more than I expected 🥰. What bothered me was how the owner treated us. He said the floor was cracked because we moved a chair. If the floor is a concern, the chair could be fixed or guests could be told to lift it. The chair had wheels, so it shouldn’t have affected the floor. Customers deserve better treatment 🙃🌹🌹
