My business trip stay at "Noclegi pod ekstrakiem" in Zakopane was a very bad experience. The rooms felt stuck in the communist era, and that standard didn't match the price. We arrived late, after 11:00 PM, and found no towels or toilet paper, with water leaking from under the toilet. Breakfast was modest, with limited choice and mediocre quality. The parking lot was too small, so we had to find a place outside the property. The owners were polite at first, but things changed when we tried to pay. We needed an invoice as business travelers to submit to the service provider, and the owners seemed not to understand why. They called us stingy and conniving, which was completely out of line. After the stay, there was further retaliation over the negative but objective review we had previously posted. The owners left a one-star review without comment on our business profile, despite never having been our clients. That felt extremely unprofessional and raises serious questions about the ethics of running the business. Maybe the time spent looking into clients’ profiles could go toward something else, like accepting criticism and improving the service and quality? Our stay at "Noclega pod ekstrałem" was deeply disappointing. The room standard was poor, and the way customers were treated was unacceptable too. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for business travelers.

Although this resort isn’t in the center, the location worked very well for us. It’s right at the entrance to Zakopane, so you avoid traffic jams, and there’s a bus stop by the exit for getting downtown. There’s also a scooter stand, plus a well-stocked grocery store next door. A ski lift is just across the road, with other shops, a gas station, and McDonald’s nearby. Our room was lovely and very clean, with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful, and let us leave the car in the lot early. We were also able to check in well before the usual time because the room was ready. I’d gladly visit again.

The owners seemed nice until I asked for a proper invoice. The woman handling the billing clearly struggled to issue it, and the gross price was meant to be net. Then I got a nasty remark calling me a cheapskate and a con man. I won’t be going back. The rooms were very poor, with no towels or toilet paper. Breakfast was average and had little choice. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

It was peaceful here, with only the stream murmuring in the evening. There’s a bus stop right outside for trips to the city center, and a grocery store next door. Our rooms were clean and well looked after, and the owner was very kind and friendly. We’re very happy with our choice and would love to return.
