The owner was helpful and accommodating, and the shop inside the building made our stay especially convenient. Our room was very clean and had a fantastic mountain view. The children's playroom was tidy, and the cleaning lady works hard and does a great job every day. There are barking dogs, but it wasn’t too bad. They’re only noisy for a short time in the evenings or when emergency vehicles pass, which is normal. The dogs belong to neighbors, not the property. The owner is trying to sort it out, though it’s taking longer than expected because the city hasn’t acted. He’s working on resolving it in the future.

The hosts have a shop in the same building, and there’s a playroom for children too, which we hadn’t noticed when booking and was a lovely surprise. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a private bathroom, a big plus. Dorotka is lovely and always there to answer questions. We’re very happy with our stay, and my husband, the children, our friends, and I will definitely return. I highly recommend Pokoje pod Tatrami and its wonderful owners ❤️

They call them apartments, but they’re really rooms. That’s the only inaccuracy I found. Everything else was a plus, especially the price. We’re saving the location and recommend it to anyone looking for clean rooms.

The room itself was beautiful, spacious, and well equipped, just as I’d hoped. The owner was kind and welcoming, and the well-stocked shop downstairs was handy. Still, none of that made up for the lack of comfort at night. For the second night in a row, the neighbors’ dogs barked and howled for hours, taking turns until morning. They’d made noise earlier too, but not as badly. Once they finally quieted down, sunlight came through all five windows, which had no blinds or curtains. From dawn, the sun shone in from windows right beside the bed. Maybe that’s manageable in winter, but in midsummer, when it gets light so early, it’s really inconvenient. I’ve never slept worse, and hiking is hard when you’re exhausted just from the night. The children’s playroom was meant to be a plus, but it was dirty and smelled musty, with webs all over the corners. I wish I could have left a better review. I regret not finding these problems in other reviews before booking. If I had known, I wouldn’t have stayed.
