The only good thing is the central location. I was misled by the photos, because the rooms look much worse in person, and the decor feels straight out of the communist era. The guesthouse was dirty and smelled strongly of damp; a weak air freshener didn’t cover it. Water from the shower seeped into the next room and soaked the neighbors’ carpet. The bathrooms are small and clearly need renovation. Breakfast was as basic and cheap as it gets: sausages warmed in a flask were the only hot option, with the rest made up of the cheapest pre-cut products from Biedronka. Running a guesthouse takes dedication and investment to improve its standard and quality. The price doesn’t match what you get.
The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel has its own free parking lot. Breakfast is included in the room rate, served buffet-style from 8:00 to 9:30, with plenty to choose from. It’s easy to walk to Krupówki Street, and there’s a bus stop nearby with connections to Morskie Oko and Kasprowy Wierch. Our room wasn’t large, but it was cozy, with a decent bathroom, clean bedding, a TV with lots of channels, and everything looked really good. I highly recommend it, including for families with children.
The place feels dirty and run-down, and the rooms are damp, moldy, and smelly. The price doesn’t fit the standard, so I don’t recommend staying here. Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., which means you’ll miss it if you head out to the mountains early. They don’t offer sandwiches or breakfast boxes like other guesthouses at similar prices, and there’s no refrigerator. I’d look elsewhere.
The owners were surly and rude, and there was a huge dog in the building that growled as soon as it saw a guest. We were told breakfast was included, but still had to pay 6 złoty for a roll. The room was supposed to have a balcony, which we only learned it didn't when we arrived. There was no kitchenette, and basic things like glasses and plates were missing despite the owner's assurance that they were there. The walls had mold and mildew and the room smelled unpleasant. The electrical outlet and bathroom ventilation didn't work either. For the price, this place isn't worth it. I don't recommend it.
