The cottage was very quiet, though you could hear the stream running behind it around the clock. It was modern and spacious, over 50 square meters across three floors. In the basement there’s a view of the little stream, plus a small indoor jacuzzi and a sauna. Communication was the one problem. I stayed four nights in July and messaged through Booking.com to ask for the Wi-Fi password, but never got a reply. That was really annoying since mobile data and signal in the area were both weak.

The host was really nice, and the place had a warm, friendly feel that made it feel like home. A heartfelt stay for a decent price. Thanks for having us, I highly recommend it!

The wooden interior had a nice feel, and the location made it easy to walk to Tatra National Park. There’s free parking around the hotel, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a tasty buffet with high-quality food and drinks. The room had just one power outlet, and although there was a kettle, no cups or spoons. The bathroom ceiling light was very dim, there was no soap shelf in the shower, and the toilet seat was mounted unusually high. The mattresses were soft, and the double bed felt rather narrow.

I’ve been back three times and have enjoyed my holidays here every time. The owner, Jadwiga, makes you feel as if you’ve known her since you were born. You can order delicious breakfast too.
