Resort Kasprowy Wierch

The location was very good, and breakfast was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We’d booked a deluxe room for four and stayed three nights. Not once did anyone clean the room, empty the bins, clean the bathroom, or replace the toilet paper. The place feels like it used to be nice, but now it’s really run down.

We paid just over 50 € for two people, breakfast included, so the value was hard to beat. The hotel is right on the main street in the pedestrian zone, and having private parking was a big plus. The furniture and decor look a bit dated and could use renovation, but for that price we had a fantastic stay.

The rooms were clean, but they need updating, and I found both the beds and pillows uncomfortable. The outside of the hotel looks tired, and the inside has the same feel. Breakfast was OK, though don’t expect a decent coffee. What they serve is poor, cheap powdered coffee. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

For the price, I expected more and came away disappointed. The hotel feels like some things are only half done. There’s a cooking oil smell throughout, no proper ventilation, rough bed sheets, and no internet in the rooms. Breakfast was decent, the staff were fine, and the rooms were just big enough. The location is right at the beginning of the main strip, with lots of places to eat and shop, and you can take the tram for great views. Heading the other way, it’s about a 40-minute walk to the carts that take you up into the mountains for a long hike and climb with fantastic views. Still, I wouldn’t return for what we got at the room price.
