We paid 50 Euros for a steak and grilled tongue, which felt overpriced even compared with Germany. The steak was tough and stringy, like the cheapest grocery-store meat, and the food overall was nothing special. It seemed to be trading on the hotel's good reputation. The waitress was friendly until she realized we weren’t going to tip, then her service became completely standard.

I’ve been coming to Zgorzelec for over 8 years and somehow hadn’t found this hidden gem before. It’s tucked back from the road, behind a big petrol station. The rustic restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, great food, and good service, plus toys and a small entertainment area for kids. I personally don’t think it’s expensive, and I’ll definitely return. I only visited the restaurant, so I can’t comment on the rooms.

We stopped here while on the road and had delicious food. Along with traditional Polish dishes, you can try Lithuanian kvass and potato pancakes with salmon. It’s a cozy place, and I’d absolutely recommend it.

When I said the chicken breast was small for a 45pln dish, the waitress replied, “I know.” The dessert was tiny too, and when we said we were disappointed, she didn’t offer anything. The food was average, nothing special, and we left feeling we’d gotten very little for our money. It came across like a place for highway travelers who won’t be back. The prices are now higher than in the pictures.
