Josette was welcoming and friendly, and our bedroom was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was shared between two rooms and also kept very clean. Breakfast was generous, with pain au chocolat, croissants, fresh bread, butter and jam, coffee, and orange juice. My wife and I stayed for two nights in August. We enjoyed chatting with Josette in French over breakfast, and she shared fascinating things about the island. It’s a great choice if you speak French and want an immersive, distinctive stay. If you’d rather have privacy and very little interaction, a hotel may suit you better.

The room had everything we needed: a heater, TV, window, closet, kettle, tea, and glasses. The home was clean and beautiful, with a rustic feel, and the host was friendly. Breakfast was included, with coffee, orange juice, and fresh bread. There are some great views of St Pierre nearby. The house is up higher in the city, so the walk uphill from downtown each day may not suit everyone. It’s about five minutes and not very steep, though, so it wasn’t too bad. The beds felt a little hard to us, but that comes down to preference.

They turned us away in freezing temperatures, and this place didn’t seem kid friendly. My impression of the property was poor.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The experience wasn’t great, the hosts didn’t make us feel welcome, and the amenities were mediocre.
