The bathroom had no door, toilet paper, or towels, and the pool was disgusting, with a dirty green layer on the bottom. The AC and Wi-Fi didn’t work, the main door banged, and the appliances, bed, and sheets were all old. The place was dirty. I asked for my money back, but they said the booking was nonrefundable. The owner was rude and told me to clean it myself because there was a mop over there. Don’t stay here.

The pool area had only one lounge chair and was dangerous to get in and out of. The toilet is separated from the rest of the room by a little wall, rather than being in a proper bathroom. This feels more like a jail cell than a hotel, or maybe a hostel for a surfer, and shouldn’t cost more than $50. The owners should be ashamed. Don’t bring children here. The road is very dangerous at night. I hope you take the warning and stay elsewhere.

Room 104 was a cute little studio with basic kitchen items for cooking. But the tiny pool was right outside our window and door, and four people had it crowded. They blocked our door, window, and view, and were rude enough to make us feel awkward. We’d paid $156 for one night. You can see the view from the rooms if nobody’s using the pool.

My son and I came to Arecibo because he’s into space, and planned to check out the observatory. At this place there was no desk and no way to get in. They never replied by email, phone, or text, so we couldn’t reach anyone and never got inside. I lost my money and had to take my kid to Burger King to book somewhere else. I never heard a peep. The hotel at the observatory was amazing, at least. The place looked nothing like the photos, more like a crack house. Birds were crapping all over a beat-up-looking pool, and parking was very difficult. It was bad.
