Courtyard by Marriott San Juan Miramar

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews, but the room was very clean. The bed was a little [unclear in source], but it was nice. Francisco at the front desk was awesome.

For roughly $500 a night, the suite was by far the worst hotel stay I've had. I might not have left a bad review, but then I noticed the folded towel in the bathroom, which was supposed to be clean, covered in brown stains. I can only assume they were disgusting leftovers from another guest. I didn't see them until after I started drying myself. I'm absolutely disgusted. This is unacceptable. Don't stay here.

My five-night stay ended after three. I checked in at 6:30 p.m. and my room wasn't ready because the rooms hadn't been cleaned. There were two pubic hairs in the tub, and loud construction outside. The hotel had only one elevator, and it was extremely slow. The daily $17 resort fee was no use at the restaurants because they're outsourced. The fitness center was in the basement and about the size of a closet. The general manager doesn't reply to emails. I'm not surprised, since a good GM wouldn't leave the hotel at 5 p.m. with guests checking in and no clean rooms available. I'm a Platinum Marriott elite member.

I’ve stayed here twice for work functions. It’s a decent hotel and does what I need. Staff have been friendly whenever I’ve needed information, and I’ve had no complaints either time. I also like being able to walk around and try different restaurants, or, if I’m feeling lazy, take the elevator down to the Comodor or Ariel.
