The community is beautiful, gated, and feels very safe, and the beach to the left is quieter and more peaceful. Getting there means a decent walk through the brush, though, and the property itself looks like it still hasn’t recovered from the hurricane. There’s mold, an abandoned building, and no easy beach access. The rooms need a lot of care, with torn, stained towels and cleaning that wasn’t done properly. The photos seem to be from before the storm. It could be a gem, but the owner doesn’t seem concerned that guests are misled and makes no effort to make things right. The photo shows how good the place could be, while the building in the background is empty and abandoned. Be careful considering this location.

The parking attendant was helpful, though there was only so much he could do. We were told we could arrange access to the nearby athletics club, but when we tried, we were told we weren’t allowed in. This isn’t a resort, there’s no beach, and there’s no staff available to help. Our three-bedroom room was dirty when we checked in: the toilet seat had sticky residue, there was black mold in the bathroom, and the towels were tiny, torn, and stained. There were no hand towels, dish towels, or washcloths. Wear and tear showed on the walls, curtains, chairs, and windowsills. The kitchen sink and toilet were clogged, the fridge filter was overdue for replacement, the wine opener was broken, and we had to buy a coffee maker because the one provided was a single cup machine for a three-bedroom unit. After we finally reached someone who seemed very uninterested in helping, we switched rooms. The new one was better, but the towels were still a problem and the wear was still visible. The pool wasn’t well cared for either. If repairs and renovations aren’t made, this place shouldn’t be rented to vacation guests. It could be lovely, but it needs millions in work. My daughter, a travel advisor, was checking it out with us and won’t recommend it to any clients. We would’ve left if somewhere else in Las Palmas had been available at such short notice. Please do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

Louies at the gate was kind and tried to help as much as he could. During my stay, though, the AC leaked water and the internet was down for the entire day. This feels more like an Airbnb rental than a resort: there’s no lobby, restaurant, or music. Bring your own basics, including soap, shampoo, towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, and an iron, since these aren’t supplied. If you want full resort conveniences, this may not suit you. It could work for someone who prefers a home-like place and is prepared to handle their own needs. A lot of the reviews on the sites look fake or paid.

The ceiling was leaking in the dining area, and the unit hadn’t been properly cleaned. I found hair in the tub, the bathroom rug was dirty, and the pans in the kitchen cabinet were greasy and dirty. This was a three-bedroom condo, but the bathrooms didn’t have enough towels or any face cloths. I tried telling the front driveway attendant, but he couldn’t help and told me to email. More than 24 hours later, no one had replied. I also tried reaching the property manager, but he was unavailable. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed.

The elevator was out of order and missing a button, and the so-called “World Class Amenitites” weren’t much better. There was no WiFi or working TV service. When I finally tracked down our host, he wouldn’t help and said we couldn’t use the fitness center either. Management doesn’t seem to care about the people staying here. I’m urging you to pick somewhere else. There are much nicer, better managed complexes within Palmas Del Mar. Run away.
