The Royal Sonesta San Juan

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and would happily come back. The pool and hot tub were lovely, and it was easy to get straight onto the beach. The hotel was beautiful and clean, with shops and restaurants close enough to walk to. For Old San Juan and other spots, getting an Uber was easy.

The people here made us feel like family instead of tourists. William at the door and Edna at the concierge desk both went out of their way for my wife and me, and everyone else was helpful and kind too. The beach and pool were excellent, and restaurants on the strip are an easy walk away. It’s also handy for the airport, and the amenities are solid. Be sure to include continental breakfast when booking.

The beach and pool are both beautiful, and our room was lovely and well cared for. Housekeeping paid such close attention to the details. From the moment we arrived, the valets and porters were welcoming and helpful, and the front desk staff were ready to assist. The lobby is spacious and bright, with plenty of seats for a quick meeting or a break from the heat. We loved it here.

We had a really relaxing stay, and that bed was amazing, the best sleep I’ve had. The resort is beautiful and very clean, with easy beach access, loungers and umbrellas whenever you want them, plus a fun swim-up pool bar. The restaurants served delicious food with great service, and hearing the coqui at night was lovely. The excursion choices could be better. Also, housekeeping came so late, around 5-6pm, that they missed cleaning our room while we were getting ready for dinner. Still, we had a great time.
