The Beach Guesthouse

The host was really kind and made sure I felt safe. It was right where I wanted to be for the things I had planned in PR. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it.

We could easily get to San Juan to the west, and to beach activities and El Yunque to the east. The neighborhood also had plenty of restaurants, a beach shop, and street vendors. We contacted Amigos de Los Animales before arriving and spent a day volunteering to walk dogs on the beach, which was rewarding for all of us. Our two bedroom suite worked beautifully for us and our two teenagers. The first floor patio doors opened right onto the pool area, with the ocean beyond, so it felt like the pool deck was part of our space. We had a garage spot for the rental car, which made outings easy. The kitchen was just right for the family: the teens could sleep late and prepare food while my husband and I got up early to walk the boardwalk and beaches and buy a smoothie from the stand outside the front gate. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, and the bathroom was huge and very nice. Couples in the rooms above us were barely visible, and we never heard them, so the place felt like our own. We fell in love with the hotel and location and plan to return. Highly recommend.

My credit card information was stolen, and they refused to refund me. When I raised the issue, they were dismissive and unprofessional. My credit card company has opened an investigation. I consider this fraudulent behavior. I don’t trust this business and would tell others to stay away and protect their money.

We had no service interruptions, even when the whole island was without power for a couple of days, thanks to the generator. The owners were helpful and really nice, and there are a few decent restaurants within walking distance. We stayed as a group for my friend’s 50th birthday. The house and rooms were great, with perfect access to the beach. I loved sitting on the upper balcony, listening to and watching the waves. I’d recommend it.
