The place and the surrounding area were beautiful, but rain came through several leaks in the bedroom ceiling near the bed. It made sleeping really difficult.

I had an awesome time. The water was beautiful, and the balcony sits right beside it. Highly recommend!

Right on the beach, great place!

The location and view really are beautiful, but the listing and guest support were disappointing. We booked this Luquillo condo for five nights for our first proper family vacation in years, relying on the listing's claim that it was a "Quiet Complex." It wasn't. On the first night people drank and talked loudly beneath our balcony until 11:30 pm. On Saturday, pop-up tents, speakers, and a volleyball game filled the beach in front of us. The downstairs neighbors then partied from noon to nearly midnight, drinking, singing, and yelling profanities directly below both bedroom windows, including in front of our six-year-old. We cut our trip short and found another place when the noise continued past 11 pm. I contacted guest services Saturday at 5:23 pm. Judith, the on-call supervisor, didn't reply until after 8 pm. She said she only dealt with "emergencies" at night and that we'd talk the next day, but she never called Sunday. We asked for a refund for the three unused nights. Judith refused, telling VRBO the noise was "out of her control" and claiming she'd tried to contact me Sunday morning, which she hadn't. There were other problems with the listing. The in-unit noise ordinance sign says 10 pm-8 am, while Judith told VRBO it was 11 pm-8 am. The advertised beach chairs were rusted, child-sized camping chairs. Food trucks were closed, and with a young child the kiosko area wasn't really walkable, despite the listing's claim about nearby restaurants. A 200 ml bottle of Don Q rum sat on the kitchen counter beside a note saying, "Here are a few more food items, as our gift to you, so that you can at least prepare a light meal and/or breakfast while you get settled in." There wasn't any food at all, only the rum. Unless we were meant to make a meal from rum, salt, and ketchup, there was nothing to eat. The unit was also dusty throughout. My son has fairly bad allergies and struggled during our stay; the lamp and fake plant on the nightstand had thick, visible dust that looked at least a month old. The gate keys were split between two sets, one for the pedestrian gate and one with the front gate remote. That meant walking back and forth between the beach and unit just to use the correct gate. When we left, we laundered the towels, stripped the beds, ran the dishwasher, and told Judith we'd checked out. We never heard back. If you're looking for a quiet family retreat, this wasn't it. The beautiful location couldn't make up for the inaccurate listing, poor management, and lack of guest support.
