The balcony was lovely for peaceful evenings, and in the morning you can watch the sun come up. You’re within walking distance of the beach, with a breakfast place right across the street, food and drinks two buildings away, and a little convenience store on the corner. It’s right in the middle of everything. The place itself is amazingly beautiful and absolutely clean, with everything you could imagine needing, plus more. They provide free Wi-Fi, coffee, beach towels, shampoo, conditioner, even Q-tips. From the start, communication with the owner and receptionist was exceptional. She’s an amazing woman, an angel from heaven. This place was a Godsend. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Weekends feel like a racetrack, with loud mufflers and speeding that doesn’t seem to be enforced. The property sits right on the Main Street into Luquillo village, with no setback from the traffic noise. The high volume and gear shifting from people speeding by are a major turnoff. I asked the host about it, and was told they “offered earplugs” as compensation. I’ve been an Airbnb host for a long time and would never ignore how this affects safety on the town streets. Losing sleep spoils a vacation.

For a base to explore the area, this adorable little guest house works well. It’s clean and spacious, with lots of charming, practical touches that feel like they came from someone who cares, not a corporate template. It’s a small roadside surf motel, so don’t expect to be pampered. It’s steps from the town plaza and beach, and the room has all the beach gear you might need, plus a refrigerator, microwave, and cute AM/PM coffee mugs and wine glasses. There’s no parking or default daily room service, but that didn’t bother me. Entry is by code, so keep track of the keys. Road noise is real, though I didn’t find it overwhelming, even on a Friday night. Check-in is self-service. If you book through a third party, the welcome message with entry details might not reach you, so contact them ahead of time. I luckily ran into the proprietress and a handy man when I arrived, and both were immediately warm and welcoming.

Just keep in mind that it’s right off the main square, so nights can get noisy. They do provide earplugs, which helps. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the basics, including beach chairs and umbrellas. It’s a proper place.
