The Lazy Parrot Inn

We absolutely loved this gem and would come back. The location is ideal, close to everything by a short car ride, while being up on the hill gives you privacy and stunning views. The grounds feel like a jungle oasis, with beautiful plants, mosaics, and lots of care put into them. The spacious, clean rooms have big porches with seating. Beds are comfortable, though the roosters may wake you up. Ear plugs or music/sounds can help avoid an early start. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub, with plenty of sunny and shaded spots to sit and take in the views. Breakfast was advertised as included, but the pool bar and glass bar were closed for our whole visit. I assume it was because it was off season. There’s a farm-to-table place next door and a breakfast restaurant down the street. The complimentary coffee with non-dairy milk was great for me, since I didn’t find many places with non-dairy options around town. We enjoyed the game room too. Dinner at the Thai restaurant was amazing, and we loved the food and staff. We highly recommend this place!

I came here for dinner at the Ode Elephant. The scenery was beautiful, and it made for a great little date night. The food was so good.

A lovely place to stay, with beautiful, relaxing surroundings. The restaurants were both great, and everyone we spoke with was pleasant and helpful. They take good care of the property and the guests. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the views are spectacular. We liked the pool, jacuzzi, greenery, and plants, and the rooms have a rustic chic feel. The tile floors instead of carpet were a nice touch. For the most part, our room was clean, though the headboard and light fixtures clearly needed dusting. We loved our stay and will be back. Just remember the restaurants close in the off season, though there are places to eat within walking distance. The downside was the playpen/crib we requested. It arrived absolutely filthy, with poop all over it. Housekeeping took 15 minutes to put it together, and my husband ended up having to help. I didn’t want to be rude, so I didn’t say anything, but they saw how dirty it was and didn’t offer another one. That was pretty disappointing.
